Coaching

Coaching is one-on-one support, tailored to what you need most. I like working with clients looking to develop their anti-oppressive practice, as people and professionals. I’ll help you set goals, build skills, and stay accountable for your growth. Our coaching could focus on:

  • your role in supporting inclusion, diversity, equity, and access within your organization

  • navigating difficult interpersonal dynamics, including harm and repair

  • developing your personal accountability practices

  • building management or leadership skills

  • designing new systems for your teams

  • discernment and decision-making

Facilitation

Facilitation is creating a “container” for a group to work in. Annual retreats, strategy sessions, and ongoing team or caucus meetings all need good facilitation to help the group stay on track, treat each other well, and work together respectfully.

I know that any process, decision, or outcome is most effective when everyone who will be impacted by it is invested in it. To make that happen, my facilitation work is generative and highly participatory—I support the whole group to build trust, work together to share input and ideas, and to come to collective decisions.

Workshops

Workshops are group experiences meant to train participants in specific skills. I have trained hundreds of leaders in over 15 countries on things like:

  • facilitation skills

  • how to plan and run an effective meeting

  • storytelling for social change

  • political education

No matter the subject, participants in my trainings have an opportunity to learn concrete tools, to practice the tools they’ve learned, and to bring their own experience and strengths to the work.

Special Projects

Special projects are a way to tap into my expertise to design a system, process, or policy. I like to work on things like:

  • HR policy

  • supervision/management practices

  • impact evaluation systems

  • cultural assessments

  • training curricula

  • equity interventions

For each project my goal is to break the patterns that incentivize us to abuse our own labor and ultimately burn us out. In their place, I help create courageous practices that meet our material, emotional, and interpersonal needs without sacrificing the impact of our work.
